Embed Flipbooks in Email
Interactive flipbooks cannot be fully embedded inside most email clients, but you can still create an engaging preview by exporting your publication as an animated GIF.
This lets recipients preview your content directly in email and click through to the full online publication.
Convert your publication to an animated GIF
FlowPaper includes built-in GIF export, so you can create email-friendly animated previews without extra tools.
1) Import PDF and choose the Zine template
The Zine template supports animated GIF export and is the recommended option for this workflow.
2) Publish and upload your flipbook
To generate a GIF, the publication must be uploaded to FlowPaper Cloud.
Click Publish, choose Cloud Hosted, and complete the upload.
After upload, the Create Animated GIF option becomes available.
3) Generate the animated GIF
In the GIF generation settings, you can optionally add custom text fields.
Click Generate to create the GIF and download it to your computer.
You can then insert this GIF into your email like any image.
Embed the animated preview in Gmail
- Open Gmail and click Compose.
- Click Insert photo.
- Select the GIF you exported from FlowPaper.
- Click the inserted image and use Insert link to link to your publication URL.
Using an animated GIF preview is an effective way to increase attention in inboxes while still directing readers to your full publication experience.
